"SOGASM"

How can we explain the elated feeling that we get when one Ahn Sohee graces the camera with her presence. The sense of awe that we are watching a true star. Appropriately named, this phenomenon can only be explained as... sogasm. It's so brilliantly coined that it should be universally adopted as a human expression. Happy, sad, angry, sogasmic:

"Sogasm - n. The emotional sensation at an instance when viewing Sohee of Wondergirls."

 It's freaking sogasology! Now, you may think I'm getting carried away, and you would be fairly right saying I'm borderline obsessed. Hear me out, ask anyone to name the first Wondergirl - considering the person you're asking know who they are - that pops into their head. I GUARANTEE you that at least 6 out of 10 people will name Sohee. Why though? Sure her vocals aren't the best, and she should try harder during live performances, and lets face it, she's just not that engaged in variety shows. However we can't help but to watch her anyways! Because it's the little things about her that draw us in, and I shall point out these things.....in list form!
 

1. "Mandoo" Sohee: Yes! In all her adorableness, her dumpling cheeks are love! G.O.O.D luv!

         2. Her undeniable sexiness...oh gawd....yea, Sun Mi, perfect example of a Sogasm ;)

 

         3. Her cold exterior that no one seems to take seriously, and why would we?? It's absolutely cute! Even her annoyed expressions or "I don't care" gestures make us giggle and "awww" all at the same time.

       4. And let's face it, she's a good dancer and looks hella cute/sexy when she does.

I'm going to end it there, if I go on any longer I just might have to change the theme of my blog to be all about Sohee. Some restraint is good for the soul...now if you don't mind, I have some "google imaging" to do...

AJ Doesn't Like His Shirt

After careful and diligent observations, I have come to the conclusion that B2ST member Gi Kwang "AJ" prefers not to cover up. Honestly though who's complaining? Certainly not the crazy fan girls. They love it! They drool over it! Hell, they'd sniff it if they could! Believe it or not though there are skeptics out there...and I think this calls for a visual aid. Warning the evidence could lead to uncontrollable nose bleeds and spontaneous "O" faces....

Phase 1 Complete

So residing in Texas...its not so bad. I mean the living cost isn't cut throat, everyone's relatively open, and it's not just a bustling city but also pretty rural, you get the best of both worlds. Right? Right??.....right....

The cons: We get no exposure to other cultural entertainment! What do I mean by this? We are constantly glossed over by the musical industries that matters most to us Asians; Kpop and Jpop. Where do they go? California, Hawaii, New York, etc. It honestly makes me weep at night in the quiet of my room as I try to fill the void with Idol Army or some kind of variety show. Yet it never seems to dissipate the feeling knowing they're IN the US, but not anywhere near ME! I've always tried to go to a concert before but something always gets in the way. Let me tell you, distance is always at the top of the list. So if not now, if not soon, someday I'll be sure to see my beloved idol one day. Operation watch-and-oogle-slash-drool-over-sexy-idols is well underway.

But wait...what's this?? Do mine eyes deceive me? 

OMO! It's true! Its like a miracle! Wondergirls and 2PM (and though its not there, 2AM is going to be there too) is going to be just 3 hours away! T-H-R-E-E! Its obvious what must be done here. Admiration must be paid! To be exact $35 worth of admiration :] Well its no meet and greet, but this is good enough for me. So the result?

Yupp right there is the fruition of my dreams. Beautiful isn't it?

Et tu, Sun Mi?

Ah...The Wondergirls, the reason I got sucked into KPOP to begin with. Just look at them, they've got it all, charisma, talent, looks, the whole package. But...looking at this picture, I can't help but get an empty feeling from it. There's something wrong about it. What exactly is missing? Oh...none other but the 4-dimensional Sun Mi. There's no doubt that the circling rumors and articles about Sun Mi leaving are true, however, seeing this picture sucker punched me into the harsh reality that Sun Mi...is no more. HOW CAN THIS BE HAPPENING??! First Jaebum...now this.

*sigh* It weird, after a successful tour in America which seemed to last forever, the news came that they would be returning to Korea. But who would have thought that they'd be returning without their other main vocal? Ayeeeee....I know I should be a good fan and support her decisions...but what good fan would be able to let this go with a smile *insert thousands of crying emoticons*

What is Wondergirls without Sun Mi?? Honestly she added a lot to the group, her vocals, her weirdness, she just had this bright personality that I don't think any girl will be able to replace. Not only that...BUT what is So Hee without Sun Mi!! What's gonna happen to my MiSo coupling! I just think that So Hee is gonna be even more awkward without her fellow maknae with her. Noooo.....MiSo!!! I know that Hyuna left before, but truth be told, Hyuna did better in a more edgy concept. Sun Mi however, was a wonder girl! 

Well nothing that can be done now but wait. Hopefully the rumors that JYP will bring Sun Mi back or that Sun Mi will return by herself. Honestly I have no problem with the 6 member issue, I just want my quirky idol back. Nothing left to say but...

The "Onew Complex"

Warning, do not take this lightly. This is a serious condition. Symptoms consist of fawning, procrastination, utmost admiration, and uncontrollable sighing. The Cure? None. So far, it seems that we are doomed to fall into a deep abyss of nothing but seeking and following said subject 'till the end whist detaching ourselves from reality with nothing to stare at but the glaring bright screen of YouTube, Allkpop, Google images, etc. This ladies and gentlemen, is what I call...The Onew Complex.

I'm just kidding! However it is true that Lee Jinki - or better known as Onew, leader of the shining boy band appropriately named Shinee - has captured the many hearts of women and girls (perhaps even guys) all over Asia, the U.S. and not to mention my little humble abode. There's no question that he is indeed one of the Kpop industries' most popular idols, for he currently ranks 6th as stated in the most recent Maknae's Rebellion. But what is it about Onew that instantly draws us fans towards him. It's not as if he's insanely sexy, or has a hot body (though I do wonder if Onew is like Jo Kwon in this case, suddenly revealing that he has chocolate abs LOL). Yet there's this essence that he seems to emit in every performance or appearance he makes, whether it's on stage or on a variety show, that results in thousands and thousands of fans swooning for him. So what exactly is it about Onew?

Taking the liberty to analyze the issue at hand, I was able to pick up some noticeable traits. 

                                          Number 1: His smile...

•  It's doubtful that anyone can resist him when he smiles. It's...dare I say...infectious. Just one look alone makes you want to sigh and grin right along with him. 

                                          Number 2: His silliness/awkwardness...

• Better known as "The Onew Condition", I say this is what makes him different from all the other idols. He can be funny, without intentionally trying to be. Just the way he behaves is so cute! He's a natural. (I highly suggest watching Hello Baby by the way, Onew was the funniest to watch :] ).

                                           Number 3: His cuteness...

 

•  I know I already mentioned that he's cute, but it wasn't enough. He's just too cute! (Is the possible?) Currently I'm on a strict diet consisting of no fried food, but Onew is making it all too tempting.

                                   Number 4: The fact that he looks good in anything...

•  You know, I take back my statement before about Onew not being sexy, on the account that the first picture, he's actually pretty hot haha. But yeah, give him a blazer, trench, skinny pants, vests, you name it, he can pull it off. Hey, he's already looking really good in glasses.

Now there's one important thing we can't forget... his voice, the quality of him that makes the noonas fall even harder. His voice which completes his image is perfect. He doesn't have a wide vocal range like his fellow member Jonghyun, who can reach 4 octaves, but it's unique. There's something special about his voice that soothes us.

Honestly, I could list all the reasons why we like Onew so much, but I fear it'll take almost an entire page of this blog.

Let's face it, Onew has captured our hearts. He's in one word...ideal.
